Annie Smithers | Cook Author Farmer

One of Australia's best known paddock to plate chefs, Annie Smithers runs a tiny kitchen in regional Victoria. Her site integrates with Mailchimp so we can manage her 10K+ database, her e-commerce component is usually just for book sales and masterclasses but during COVID we had to flip and do takeaway and had to do all sales online. Usually selling out within minutes, it was a lot of tweaking to get the process running smoothly. Now we still frequently take sales in excess of $25K within an hour or so of releasing events and most recently did $55K of book launch event and book sales within 48 hours of sending out the EDM. Ironically we have always kept the video from the original Squarespace template as the lake on the on Annie's farm is almost identical. With many of Annie's customers not being good at using technology, this site has achieved greater relationships with annie's customers as it is easy to use. For my business, I probably pick up at least 4-5 new business clients on the back of this site.
